We are seeking an experienced Water Operator II to support the operation and maintenance of water treatment and distribution systems. This role requires hands-on technical skills, system monitoring, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Pay: Up to $28.08 per hour DOEKey Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment and distribution systems
- Monitor system performance using gauges, meters, and control panels
- Adjust treatment processes and equipment to ensure water quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, valves, and motors
- Conduct water sampling and basic analysis
- Maintain operational logs and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- New Mexico Level 2 Water Certification (required)
- Minimum 2 years of water operations experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of water treatment plant operations experience
- Knowledge of water treatment processes and system equipment (pumps, valves, motors)
- Experience with basic computer systems (spreadsheets, data entry, reporting tools)
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings
- Exposure to equipment, confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, lifting, etc.)
