Overview
We are seeking a Senior Operator to oversee daily operations of a water/wastewater treatment plant. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring process control, maintaining compliance, and supporting plant performance and maintenance activities.

Pay: $30.33 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise plant operations and operators on assigned shift
  • Monitor and adjust treatment processes (chemical dosing, flow rates, etc.)
  • Perform and review sampling, lab testing, and process control
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain reports, logs, and regulatory documentation
  • Inspect equipment and coordinate maintenance needs
  • Train and support operators and operators-in-training
  • Serve as backup to Operations Manager when needed
  • Respond to alarms, on-call situations, and emergencies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in water/wastewater operations (multi-level operator experience required)
  • Knowledge of plant operations, lab testing, and process control
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work on-call and travel between sites as needed
